Executive Director ~ PATH Integrative Health Center
As senior clinic director, Dr. Rooks is skilled and experienced at finding and addressing the root physiological, biochemical, hormonal and neurological imbalances causing the poor health status of people today. In the current health trends seen today, most patients that seek her help have been to traditional medical route with no positive result or have been managed chronically with prescription medications and 1 procedure after another with no real change or return to health.
In her model, if the overall health of a person is depleted, you must look at 3 big categories that create ill health. The overall category is STRESS but there are 3 types of stress~ Chemical, Physical and Mental/Emotional OR refer to them as TOXINS, TRAUMAS and THOUGHTS.
Due to the overwhelming stress, poor food supply, and consumption and over use of pharmaceutical drugs, as a society we are extremely imbalanced and this has lead to an overwhelming need for a Holistic Integrative perspective view of health care. In her model of care, Dr. Rooks emphasizes bodily cleansing and detoxification, clinical nutrition with nutrition supplementation, lifestyle modification, nervous system and skeletal balancing through Chiropractic care; and stress reduction techniques to help her clients recover their health. She utilizes breakthrough diagnostic testing and analysis that’s rarely done in conventional setting, when needed, to uncover the hidden, underlying causes of health concerns.
Dr. Rooks also has mastery of the natural treatment of musculoskeletal conditions that tend to produce issues related to poor spinal health, decreased movement, chronic pain syndromes, neuropathies, nerve impingements, and pain of any kind with her Chiropractic training.
Dr. Rooks also takes great pride in delivering personalized healthcare treatment to patients as well as providing an environment that supports and inspires patients to reverse their poor health. However, due to demand, also works with patients from a distance, when possible.
Dr. Heather Rooks graduated from the University of Delaware, with a BA in Biology and a Minor in Women’s Studies. She attended Life University for her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, and has extensive Postgraduate education in Functional Endocrinology and Clinical Nutrition.
Outside the office, Dr. Rooks enjoys time with her fiance and son, Rook Orion, as well as her furry family ~ a Cream French bulldog, Romeo and cats Apollo & Bubba. Dr. Rooks loves to learn and help people recover their health through care and education but also loves activity. She feels most ALIVE when exercising, on spiritual retreats, traveling and on humanitarian mission trips. She relaxes with meditation and bodywork and also loves Yoga and any kind of fitness.
